Julie King
Founder and Creative Director

Julie King is an artist and designer known for creating story-driven branding and heirloom paper goods that blur the line between fine art and design. With a Masters of Fine Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and over two decades of experience, she leads Julie King Studio- an art-forward design house specializing in bespoke wedding stationery and soulful hospitality branding.

Julie’s work is rooted in storytelling, nostalgia and the belief that every detail should be intentional. Her signature style blends poetic illustration, thoughtful typography, and an editorial sensibility- resulting in identities and paper suites that are deeply personal and visually unforgettable.

Her designs have been featured in Vogue, Over the Moon, Brides, Martha Steward Weddings and Southern Living, and are trusted by clients who value beauty with meaning and aren’t afraid to break the mold.

  • Carolin Knight | Production Manager

    With a background in Management, Production and Product Design, Carolin brings a new vision to production and assembly at Julie King Studio.  With a career in bookbinding, Carolin feels right at home amongst paper, paint and ribbon. 

    An entrepreneurial spirit motivates her to constantly learn new skills, from furniture building and metal-work to fine hand embroidery. Recently moving back to Charleston with her husband keeps her busy exploring new finds in the Charleston of their childhood, enjoying sea-air, good music and great food.

  • Déla O'Callaghan | Senior Graphic Designer

    Déla is an award-winning graphic designer with over a decade of experience in the print industry. Originally from New Orleans, she received her bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications from the University of Kansas and moved to the Lowcountry after graduating. 

    Déla brings a unique and playful approach to her work, inspired by her love of travel and all things vintage. 


  • Lauren Holst | Operations Manager

    With a background in education and legal administration, Lauren brings a detail-oriented and organized approach to her role at Julie King Studio. Her experience in title insurance sharpened her skills in project management, bookkeeping, and logistics—perfectly suited for the fast-paced world of custom wedding stationery.

    Lauren is passionate about creating an organized, supportive experience for each of our clients as they move through such a meaningful and creative season.
